The Real Meaning of Easter

What is the real meaning of Easter? For some it might be watching the kids get easter eggs, for others it might simply be being with their families, it could even just be a holiday for many. For Christians it is a commemoration of the greatest event ever recorded, the Resurrection of Jesus Christ.
I am posting about this day because it represents all that is important to me. I know that after going through this life and the ups and downs it has brought and will bring, I am going to die. I know that death will be a sort of birth, an awakening even. I will wake up to reality and see things that I could not see with my eyes. Sometime after that death I will even be resurrected and will meet my Maker.
All this because on the first Easter Jesus Christ overcame death through living a perfect life. That is the real meaning of Easter.
Christ called Apostles when he lived and he continues to call Apostles these days. This is what they have to say about the real meaning of Easter:

This was the most impactful testimony I’ve ever heard in person from an apostle. The Spirit was as strong as I’ve ever felt it. At the end of Elder Holland’s profound and totally sure testimony of the Savior, I wouldn’t have been surprised of the Lord had entered the conference center.

I nevee cease to marvel that we are blessed to be on earth with living prophets & apostles. They are such a blessing to the world. May we never take them or their testimonies for granted.
